Serving the Lord and Our Community

New Life Community Church of Brighton is dedicated to the outreach mission of the Church. We believe we have a responsibility, and the privilege, of taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our community, and around the world, in practical ways. Jesus gave us the example of ministering to the physical and emotional needs of those around us, in order to show the love of God and help to meet the spiritual need in their lives.

Our current outreach projects all began with a vision or dream that God put on the heart of someone within our church. As they shared their vision, and we saw God at work, others in the body have come alongside to join God in this work.

“Project HOPE” Offers Hope to Nicaragua

New Life Community Church will again partner with Life Outreach International to help build 300 brand new homes, provide food for a year, and drill a well to provide clean, healthy water for the community. This year the location is Nicaragua, where 50% of the population lives in overcrowded housing with 3 or more people per room. Further, dirt floors (43% of the houses) and unclean water create a cycle of deteriorating health. Ear, eye and skin infections are prevalent in children and many of the water sources are contaminated, leading to cholera, dysentery and, in some cases, death.

For more information on this project, and LIFE Outreach International, see their website at www.lifetoday.org. Click on “Outreaches” and follow the “Homes fro Life” link.
